Calling all coders and developers!

Hackathons are a great way to challenge yourself, get exposed to new technologies and processes, and, of course, #hackforgood.

You can even make a real-life business opportunity out of your hackathon creation like ReBorn Code has done. The Indiana Department of Environmental Management (IDEM) and ReBorn Code, the winner of the IDEM challenge from the #INvTX Challenge, signed a contract to develop an internal portal for IDEM staff.

Your next chance to participate in the ongoing Hack Indiana series is coming up next week October 9 and 10 at the #IndyCorpHack.

This is the third installment of the Hack Indiana series powered by the Indy Chamber and Techpoint, and this time you get access to data and a chance to work on real-world business challenges submitted by AT&T, Interactive Intelligence, Socrata and the Indianapolis Motor Speedway.

Launch Event: Friday, October 9 at Indianapolis Motor Speedway

Challenges and data will be released and challenge sponsors will be on hand to answer questions. Team formation facilitation will also begin at this event.

#IndyCorpHack: Saturday, October 10 at Launch Fishers

Challenges submitted by AT&T, Interactive Intelligence, Socrata and the Indianapolis Motor Speedway

There are different prize packages for each challenge, but each of the four winning hackthon teams will get:

  • $1,500 cash
  • Annual Indy Chamber startup membership
  • Free tickets to events and classes from TechPoint and Indy Chamber
  • State of Indiana’s Office of Small Business and Entrepreneurship (OSBE) coaching/counseling package

All in, the prizes are worth thousands, but the real reward could be big changes to your hacking life all at once and in ways you never imagined.
