Company Description
Global Water Technologies (OTC: GWTR) is a small public company that integrates innovative smart water technologies to improve the efficiency of water and wastewater distribution systems. Sensors + software to identify hidden leaks and monitor drinking water distribution; solutions for condition assessment and relining pipelines; and a newly patented device for improving lift stations are examples.
In 2013, the company acquired GreenSuite, an Indianapolis start-up that had developed a SaaS platform for water consumption. Such data tools combined with real-time meters and smart grid analytics can greatly improve efficient usage and pricing. Global Water Technologies is working to demonstrate these solutions using a living laboratory model that deploys technologies in a real-world setting where they can showcase benefits to local utilities and then scale up for wider adoption.
