Indiana’s technology community is growing and thriving. According to the latest Cyberstates report from the TechAmerica Foundation, Indiana actually added tech jobs during the downturn, even as the rest of the private sector was making cuts.
Despite last year being the worst year in more than a decade (since 1997, to be exact) for venture capital nationally, investors are continuing to invest in Indiana’s high-tech entrepreneurs, with Indiana growing in total revenue investment by nearly 70 percent over 2008, which surpassed 2007 by 40 percent, according to the PricewaterhouseCoopers National Venture Capital Association Money Tree Report.
Of course, there are many contributors to the success of technology companies in Indiana, and one critical component is the strong, cooperative atmosphere among executive and professionals working in technology fields throughout the state.
