Beginning 14 years ago at the turn of the century, TechPoint created Indiana’s technology excellence and innovation awards and named them after the first of the brilliant variable stars to be discovered – the Mira Star, which is Latin for miraculous.

TechPoint is thrilled to once again have BKD CPAs & Advisors join us as the presenting sponsor of the Mira Awards program and the Mira Awards Gala on Saturday, April 20, 2013, at the beautiful JW Marriott in Downtown Indianapolis.

Every spring, more than 700 tech sector professionals attend the black-tie Mira Awards Gala to find out who will win top honors in more than a dozen technology award categories. Nominee applications are reviewed and scored by panels of recognized subject matter experts and industry leaders. Finalists participate in live interviews with judges, and the winners are revealed at the “Oscars-style” gala in April.

Each award is judged based on criteria specific to that category, but generally speaking nominees are selected to be finalists when they demonstrate excellence and innovation, proprietary technology, leadership, competitiveness, defined measurement and efficacy, growth, impact and community commitment.
