TechPoint’s annual Mira Awards gala is an experience like no other because of our exceptional production partners! Annie Grinstead of Positive Energy Events and her team work tirelessly together with TechPoint staff to create Tech’s Biggest Night, Indiana’s best of tech celebration that recognizes the people, products, and companies that power our thriving tech community.

Without the support of these partners, there’s simply no way we could pull off such a fun, memorable event for our nominees and winners, as well as the rest of the movers and shakers of Indiana’s tech scene. Fortunately, the elite professionals we partner with year-after-year are at the top of their game and always ensure a seamless production of the Mira Awards from beginning to end.

TechPoint’s 2017 Mira Awards production partners include:

BLASTmedia is responsible for the terrific Mira Awards Opening Video “Feel the Momentum” that chronicles how the tech community in Indiana got its start 35 years ago, touches on the major milestones over the years, and finishes with an impressive crescendo of headlines and highlights from the past few prodigious years. We’ve already received inquiries from a few employers, including one with thousands of employees, that want permission to use the video in their recruiting efforts!

They also produced the Trailblazer Award Tribute Video to Angie Hicks and the exciting new TechPoint Talent Initiative video — TechPointX: Your Talent Multiplier. Selected videos are available on the TechPoint YouTube Channel.

Additionally, BLASTmedia developed the award category transition videos seen at the beginning of all the acceptance speeches, and the creative producers at BLASTmedia are currently working on a Mira Awards 2017 event video featuring interviews with Governor Holcomb, sponsors, winners and more!

Markey’s Rental and Staging once again transformed a ballroom into an amazing Hollywood-like awards show experience that makes the Mira Awards one of a kind with so much energy and excitement!

As the Exclusive Audiovisual Production Company of TechPoint, Markey’s provided event technology for the 2017 Mira Awards held at the Westin in downtown Indianapolis. Markey’s provided lighting, sound, video playback, video recording and projection for the 900+ attendees.

The volume of equipment required to create the Mira Awards experience is remarkable. Here is a view of the stacks ready for transport to The Westin prior to the gala.

Working in tandem with Positive Energy Events and Sean Johnson of Impact Group, we created the set design and floor plan in addition to renders of the event space. Several lounge rooms located on the lower level of the hotel were decked out with uplighting and video monitors. For the Mira Awards VIP Reception, sound and décor lighting provided by Markey’s enhanced the VIP experience.

In addition to the diversified audiovisual equipment needed for the Mira Awards, Markey’s technical team consisted of an account manager, project manager, technical director, video, audio and lighting technicians, camera operators and décor specialists to bring the client’s vision to life.

Delivra provides TechPoint with the email marketing platform used to spread the word about the Mira Awards throughout the Mira season and year-round as a key component of the organization’s community outreach.

Generation Moonshot did a tremendous job designing everything from the on-screen presentation to the event program, tickets, signage and more!

Generation Moonshot provided design for all printed materials at the Mira Awards including the tickets, nametags, signage and the beautiful programs handed out to all attendees as well as providing support for the three acts theme creative and on-screen graphics featuring each of our presenting sponsors.

Print Resources once again delivered way beyond expectations with the highest quality Mira Awards souvenir event program we’ve ever seen! The texture of the program this year was so cool and special that TechPoint staff has been caught rubbing it for luck when no one is looking!! Print Resources also produced quality directional signs and sponsor recognition signs.

Positive Energy Events is TechPoint’s long-time event planning partner, but the staff is more of an extension of our team than contractors. Positive Energy has been vital to TechPoint’s events strategies since 2013 and the success TechPoint enjoys through its events is due in large part to the efforts of Positive Energy.
